TonyCorsoImages Goes ‘Live’

Believe me when I tell you that when I picked up a camera back in the summer of ’06, I had no idea what my return to a beloved hobby would lead to.

I recently decided to join the local Chamber of Commerce here in Paris/Lamar County with the idea of branching out more in to some commercial photography in addition to what I’ve been doing regularly for the past seven years.  I am not setting up a studio in town nor am I quitting my teaching  job at Prairiland JRH which I still love (on most days ) 🙂

But as various doors of opportunity continue to open for my photography, I felt this was a positive step in the right direction for me.  The folks at the Chamber have been so nice and supportive with this latest venture.  From what I learned,  this includes more than just ‘signing up’.  They want to have an ‘official ribbon cutting ceremony’ to launch my business here locally.  And since I don’t have my own studio, they will host this ‘event’ there at their office located up on the fountain square in downtown Paris.  I might add that my daughter, Minda, would argue the point that I have no studio as I pretty much set up shop in her old bedroom.  My wife, Kathy, would suggest I’ve taken over more than just one room in the house for this …but I digress.

My reason for posting this info is to at least invite anyone who might be available on Thursday, 9/19  between 5-6:30PM to stop by for some snacks and sign up for some free give-a ways.  (I’m told this is what people do when they have a ribbon cutting event. 🙂

I still plan on shooting local sporting events which is a passion of mine.  And I’m available for a host of other occasions which I have been shooting for years now like weddings, senior portraits, family shoots, bridals, etc.  If there is anything ‘new’ that I plan on promoting my work, it would be in the area of ‘events’.  Lots of businesses host various functions and I hope to make my services available to them as well.

Until then…come by and enjoy some cheese and crackers with us on the 19th and visit for a bit.  Someone will win a free photo shoot.

In the meantime…I will continue making your special  moment my focus while capturing memories one picture at a time!
